Logging
Supervision Logging
Capture sessions, supervisor details, types, and outcomes.
What is logged?
Supervision logs capture the details of each supervision session including:
- Supervisor — name, email, and optionally a linked Thothly account.
- Supervision type — Formal / board-required or Peer supervision.
- Supervisor role — Principal or Secondary. Some registrar programmes require that secondary supervisors declare their endorsement alignment.
- Session format — Individual or Group.
- Delivery method — In-person, Video / online, or Phone.
- Board-approved supervisor — whether the supervisor holds board-approved status.
- Focus areas and notes — free-text fields for session content, action items, and outcomes.
Linking to a supervisor account
If your supervisor also uses Thothly, link their account by entering their email when creating the entry. Linked supervisors can view the session log and add their own notes.
Counting toward practice hours
Some programme templates include supervision hours in the overall practice-hours total. When this setting is enabled, your supervision hours appear both in the supervision progress bar and the practice-hours total on the dashboard.
Endorsement alignment
For registrar programmes, secondary supervisors are asked whether they are endorsed in the same area, a different area, or not endorsed. This information is displayed on programme reports.
