What is a CPD log?

CPD (Continuing Professional Development) logs record learning activities such as workshops, seminars, peer consultations, courses, self-directed study, and other professional learning.

Adding a CPD entry

  1. Click Add Entry and select CPD.
  2. Enter a descriptive title and the date the activity took place.
  3. Set the duration (minimum 0.25 hours).
  4. Choose the CPD type: Workshop / seminar, Peer consultation, Course / unit, Self-directed learning, or Other.
  5. Select the activity mode: Active CPD (participating, presenting, facilitating) or Passive attendance (observing, listening). Some programmes require a minimum amount of active CPD.
  6. Optionally fill in the provider name, notes, and upload evidence such as a certificate or attendance record.
  7. If the activity relates to specific competencies, tag them using the competency picker.
  8. Click Save.

Linking to a programme

When saving, Thothly will automatically link the entry to any active programmes whose date range covers the entry date. You can also manually select which programmes the entry counts toward.

Editing and deleting

Open any entry from the log list, make your changes, and save. Deleted entries are moved to the trash and can be restored within 30 days. After the grace period they are permanently removed.
