Organisation admins and ownership

Add more admins, and hand the organisation to someone else when a coordinator moves on.

Admins

An organisation can have as many admins as it needs. Admins can invite and remove supervisors and supervisees, accept programme link requests, unlink programmes, edit the organisation’s settings, and use the Supervision view and organisation report. They also see every member’s entries, so only make someone an admin if they need that.

The owner

One admin is the owner. The organisation’s plan sits on the owner’s account, so seats are billed to them. Only the owner can:

  • make someone an admin, or remove an admin;
  • change the plan or the number of seats;
  • hand ownership to another admin.

Each person can own one organisation, but can be an admin of several.

Adding an admin

  1. Invite the person as a supervisor (or find them if they’re already a member).
  2. Open Manage Seats and choose Make admin next to their name.

Handing ownership on

When a coordinator leaves, they can hand the organisation to another admin under Manage Seats > Hand ownership on. The plan, its card and its invoices move to the new owner, so nothing is cancelled and students keep their access. The previous owner stays an admin until the new owner removes them, and their own account moves to the Free plan.

The new owner can’t already have a paid plan of their own; they need to cancel it first. If the owner has already left and can’t do the handover, contact support.
